Located at Country Junction, only 15 miles from our Airbnb rental

Every year, Country Junction holds The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival and we highly recommend visiting. We have several times throughout the years and still have amazing, unique memories from there. With free parking and free access, hours pass by easily from just viewing all of the attractions.
Some attractions are free, like the petting zoo area (pigs, cows, chickens, horses), but where else can you say that you were able to slingshot a gourd into a school bus? Or shoot aliens with paintballs from a hayride? Or let the parents relax to live music and a beer or wine while the kids go on rides and play in the mountain air? Or learn about different minerals and rocks from the "mining" rock wash setup? Or play arcade games?
Paintball Hayride
We opted to go on the Paintball Hayride. It was expensive at $15 a person, but it was such a unique thing that we had to try it. They had 2 different "courses" and we were on the hayride shooting at aliens. The staff was young but friendly, entertaining, and were quick to address questions from the riders.
The tractor pulling us first took us through a cornfield that led to a barn that set the mood for the alien invasion. After leaving the barn, we could see all the different targets setup: cars, cast iron pots, manikins, and other props setup throughout the woods just waiting for our trigger fingers. A sharp turn into the woods, and we were given the go ahead signal to begin shooting!
While this was a fun experience, it was pricey at $15 a person. For that much money, I would have wanted unlimited paintballs to feel like it was a great value. But honestly I've never done anything like this, so I'm still glad we did it.
